Organize an Event

Pine Island Farm may be able to accommodate your event!  The farm is beautiful on a summer day, with views of Mount Mansfield, Camel’s Hump, and fields of wild flowers.  We are happy to set up tables and chairs with tablecloths and farm wildflowers for your guests.  At the moment our capacity is limited and we would suggest more informal gatherings of family and friends.  Be forewarned that while we do have a porta-potty at the site, we do not yet have more formal facilities.

We have a spit that can roast a whole goat.  We would be happy to work with you to prepare and roast a goat that you purchase from one of our herders.  It takes about 4-5 hours to prepare a goat in this way and it can serve about 30-50 people with side dishes (numbers vary by nationality and their hunger for goat meat!). There is a modest site fee (that may be wholly or partly replaced by volunteer or in-kind contributions) for use of the event space, furniture, and the spit.  Contact Us for more information or to schedule a prospecting visit for your event.
